About Drafter

Furniture designers are responsible for the look and feel of the furniture we use daily. They’re tasked with creating new aesthetically pleasing and functional pieces while ensuring that these designs can be mass-produced at a reasonable cost.
Furniture designers must have an eye for detail and an understanding of human anatomy and physiology. They must also work well in a team environment—they rely on engineers, woodworkers, metal workers, fabricators, etc., to help bring their ideas to life.

What You Will Do

• Prepare technical drawings, section and details as per requirement.

• Perform drafting and design work.

• Ensure all drawings are in accordance with the standards set by company’s quality.

• Rectify and update latest drawing accordance to changes.

• Able to undertake any other duties assigned.

• Determine and develop user requirements for systems in production, to ensure maximum usability.

• Carry out research to help develop ideas.

• Produce new designs, or improve existing ones.

• Creating sketches and drawings of new designs using software such as AutoCAD or SolidWorks.

• Meeting to discuss needs and preferences and recommending materials, colors, and styles that will meet their goals.

• Take into account size, shape, ergonomics and production methods when producing design ideas.

• Developing a thorough understanding of current trends in style so new designs will be desirable to consumers.

• Reviewing existing furniture designs to identify opportunities for improvement or change.

What You Will Need

• Men or women are welcome to apply
• Maximum age is 35 years old
• Minimum education D3/ S1
• At least 2 years of experience in indoor/outdoor furniture field
• Proficient in Autocad, Sketchup, Solidworks applications
• Technical drawing for garden furniture, preferably indoor furniture that can be implemented into production with machines
• Able to communicate well
• Able to work personally and in a team
• Work placement in Jepara, Central Java
