About OEM Division Head

Senior leadership role responsible for managing and growing business-to-business (B2B) partnerships where the company manufactures furniture products designed and branded by other companies. This role bridges sales, product development, and manufacturing to ensure profitability, timely delivery, and quality standards for key client accounts.

What You Will Do

  • Strategic Sales & Account Management: Develop, maintain, and strengthen relationships with OEM partners to drive business growth. This includes securing long-term service partnerships, handling contract negotiations, and managing the sales pipeline.
  • Production Planning & Coordination: Oversee the entire production process from start to finish, ensuring that production schedules are met and that products are produced cost-effectively.
  • New Product Development (NPD): Collaborate with internal design, engineering, and manufacturing teams to turn client concepts into finished products.
  • Quality Assurance & Compliance: Ensure all products meet the specific quality standards, specifications, and safety regulations set by the client and industry standards.
  • Financial & Operational Metrics: Manage the division’s P&L (Profit and Loss), sales forecasts, and operational budgets.
  • Supply Chain & Resource Management: Ensure the availability of materials and resources, coordinating with procurement and logistics to prevent delays.

Key Qualifications

  • Experience: A minimum of 5+ years of experience in sales, account management, or production, preferably within the furniture or manufacturing industry.
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Industry Knowledge: Strong understanding of furniture production processes (woodworking, upholstery, finishing), factory operations, and raw materials.
  • Skills: Strong negotiation, communication, and presentation skills.
  • Technical Proficiency: Familiarity with CAD software or similar design tools is often preferred, alongside proficiency in MS Office.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to sit, stand, and move for extended periods, including walking through office and warehouse spaces.
  • Frequent use of hands and fingers for computer work, sketching, and handling material samples.
  • Occasional lifting and carrying of materials, samples, and product prototypes.
  • Ability to travel domestically and internationally for supplier visits, trade shows, and design development meetings.
  • Visual acuity to assess product details, colors, and finishes accurately.
  • Ability to adapt to various work environments, including office settings and warehouses.
  • Occasional bending, kneeling, or reaching to inspect products or review samples.
